Technical Specification
• System: Three-phase AC, 50 Hz; rated voltage 3/6/10 kV (commonly 12 kV); rated current ≤ 4000 A; single- or double-busbar configurations, including sectionalized systems.
• Applications: Power plants, substations, industrial and mining enterprises, and high-rise buildings—used for receiving and distributing electrical energy, as well as for control, protection, and monitoring.
• Standards: GB 3906, GB/T 11022, IEC 60298, DL/T 404.
• Altitude: ≤2000 m (derating required at higher altitudes).
• Temperature: -5℃ to +40℃, with a 24-hour average ≤35℃.
• Humidity: ≤50% at 40°C; ≤90% at 20°C (no condensation).
• Environment: No explosive atmospheres, no severe vibrations, no corrosive gases; tilt angle ≤ 5°.
Performance Features
1. It employs current-limiting fuses, which feature a compact structure, convenient installation, reliable performance, and enhanced safety.
2. The box-type, fully enclosed, maintenance-free substation meets the technical requirements; it features a compact footprint, light weight, an aesthetically pleasing appearance, and a well-organized layout.
3. Box-type transformers are divided into three main sections: the high-voltage unit, the low-voltage unit, and the transformer body itself. Each compartment is separated by partitions to form independent spaces, and a manhole is provided inside the transformer enclosure to facilitate installation and maintenance.
4. The enclosure does not include an access corridor, but sufficient consideration has been given to ease of inspection and maintenance. The enclosure door opens outward with an opening angle exceeding 90° and is equipped with a positioning device.
5. The high- and low-voltage busbars shall be sealed with insulating sleeves, and the design of the high- and low-voltage compartments shall facilitate convenient access to the cable trench beneath the pad-mounted transformer. The busbar arrangement must ensure reliable connections, ease of installation, and compliance with required safety clearances.
6. The enclosure of the Hua‑style pad-mounted substation is fully sealed (without louvers, with a sealed bottom, and equipped with sealing strips on the door frame), constructed from cold‑rolled steel sheet with a thickness of no less than 2 mm. The transformer’s external radiators are fitted with steel‑mesh guards, providing resistance to direct sunlight, low thermal conductivity, weathering, corrosion, and mechanical impact.
