Technical Performance

Technical Specification

• System: Three-phase AC, 50 Hz, 40.5 kV single-busbar/sectioned system.

• Applications: Power plants, substations, industrial and mining enterprises, and high-rise buildings; used for power reception, power distribution, and motor starting protection.

• Standards: IEC 62271‑200, GB 3906, DL/T 404; “Five Protections”: prevention of incorrect circuit breaker tripping or closing, prevention of operating disconnect switches under load, prevention of grounding wires being connected while energized, prevention of closing with grounding wires in place, and prevention of unauthorized entry into energized compartments.

• Altitude: ≤2000 m (customizable for plateau environments).

• Temperature: -15℃ to +40℃ (daily average ≤35℃).

• Humidity: daily average ≤ 95%, monthly average ≤ 90% (no condensation).

• Environment: No explosive atmospheres, no severe vibrations, no corrosive gases; seismic intensity ≤ 8.

Performance Features

• Rated voltage: 40.5 kV; rated frequency: 50 Hz

• Rated current: Main busbar 1250/1600/2000 A; branch circuits 630/1250/1600 A

• Short-circuit breaking current: 25/31.5 kA; short-time withstand current: 25/31.5 kA (4 s)

• Insulation level: 1-min power-frequency withstand voltage 95 kV, lightning impulse withstand voltage 185 kV

• Protection rating: Enclosure IP4X; compartment/open-door condition IP2X

• Environment: Altitude ≤ 2000 m (composite insulation can withstand up to 3500 m); temperature range: -10°C to +40°C; seismic resistance: magnitude 8.

• Metal-clad, compartmentalized design: The cabinet is divided into circuit breaker compartments, busbar compartments, cable compartments, and relay compartments, with all‑metal partitions providing reliable grounding and limiting the spread of faults.

• High‑strength cabinet body: fabricated from aluminum‑zinc coated sheet or cold‑rolled steel, CNC‑machined, bolted together, with a powder‑coated or galvanized finish; offering excellent rigidity and corrosion resistance.

• Optimized insulation design: heat-shrinkable insulation combined with epoxy coating, coupled with optimized electrode geometry; phase-to-phase clearance ≥ 300 mm, resulting in a large creepage distance and high insulation margin, making it suitable for high-altitude and heavily polluted environments.

• Independent pressure relief: Each compartment is equipped with its own independent venting path, enabling rapid pressure release in the event of an internal fault arc and thereby reducing risks.

• Mechanical interlocking: interlocks among the handcart, circuit breaker, earthing switch, and rear door, achieving:

  ▲ Anti-misoperation of circuit breaker opening/closing

▲ Preventing the handcart from being pulled or pushed while under load

▲ Prevent energized closing of the grounding switch

  ▲ Energizing during grounding prevention

▲ Preventing Accidental Entry into Energized Enclosures

• Closing operation: Circuit breakers and earthing switches can be operated when in the closed position, thereby reducing exposure risks.

• Arc‑resistant design: Withstands an internal arc of 31.5 kA for 1 second, as verified by authoritative type tests.

• Handcart-type structure: The circuit breaker is mounted on a floor‑mounted handcart, equipped with a lead‑screw propulsion mechanism that is lightweight, labor‑saving, and resistant to misoperation; the handcarts are highly interchangeable, enabling quick and convenient replacement.

• High compatibility: Can be equipped with either the ZN85-40.5 vacuum circuit breaker or an SF6 circuit breaker, meeting diverse requirements.

• Double-sided maintenance: Both front and rear sides are accessible, with ample cable chamber space for convenient multi-cable connections and servicing.

• Flexible wiring: Over 198 main wiring configurations, accommodating a wide range of system requirements.

• High safety redundancy: armored isolation, five‑protection interlocking, and arc‑resistant design ensure controllable risks.

• Excellent insulation performance: optimized insulation and ample clearance, suitable for harsh environments.

• Simple operation and maintenance: interchangeable handcart, door-closing operation, and double-sided maintenance, ensuring high efficiency.

• Reliable and Durable: High‑strength cabinet combined with proven circuit breakers, ensuring long service life and excellent seismic resistance.
